We are seeking a Survey Crew Chief in our Marietta, GA office.

Primary responsibilities include:
- Possess thorough knowledge of field surveying practices
- Providing field support for the office survey staff as needed
- Ability to assign, prioritize, schedule and delegate work in the field
- Performing ALTA/Boundary/Topographic surveys, Transportation Surveys, Database Surveys, Utility Route Surveys, photo control surveys and GPS networks
Duties:
- Work both independently as well as with crew members conducting field survey work
- Participates in pre-survey planning meetings with project managers
- Instructs and trains survey crew in survey and mapping methods, use of equipment, and field safety procedures
- Gathers field survey data through use of conventional and Global Positioning System (GPS) methods
- Professional interaction with various members of the public
Requirements:
- High school diploma/equivalent or greater
- 5-7 years of experience managing a 2-person field crew
- Experience with advanced field codes/line coding is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work outside in inclement weather
- The ability to travel Monday-Friday
- Valid Driver’s license
Survey Tech II

Meridian Geomatics is a 16 year old surveying firm looking for a qualified employee to grow with us long term. We have a full time position available for a survey tech that also has field experience. The best candidate for this job is someone that can communicate well. They need to be well organized and self-motivated. We are looking for someone that seeks their LSIT and wants to grow into a position of leadership within a company.
Minimum Qualifications:
AutoCAD experience - Survey Tech II is preferred
Basic Computer Skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet Research Techniques.
Strong communication and Math Skills
Field work experience is a bonus. The ability to run GPS, Robotic and Traditional Total Stations.
Must be familiar with all field survey procedures and techniques.
Drivers License
